Convert a list of Hyperlinks to text

We have received a worksheet containing a long list of Hyperlinks that has been copied and pasted from a web page. Each time we click on the hyperlinked text, our Internet Explorer opens, but we don't want this! We want the Hyperlinks to appear as non-hyperlink text.

We could right-click on each hyperlink and choose Remove Hyperlink but with a long list this would be time-consuming. To remove hyperlinks from a range of cells, follow these steps:

(1) Type the number 1 into a blank cell.

(2) Select the cell that contains the 1 and press Ctrl+C to copy.

(3) Select the cells that contain the Hyperlinks.

(4) On the Worksheet menu bar, choose Edit then choose Paste Special.

(5) In the Paste Special dialogue box select Multiply.

(6) Choose OK.
